You will be staying with us in our delightful old Victorian home in Headington, a quiet and historic neighbourhood near Oxford city centre.
The house is conveniently located a 10-15 minute walk to shops, cafes, and public transport. You can easily reach the city centre, the university, and other attractions by bus, bike, or car. You can also explore the beautiful countryside and the Cotswolds nearby, with the wonderful Shotover Country Park just a short walk away. <Check out our favourite places in and around Oxford>
We are close to Brookes University, the Churchill and Nuffield Hospitals with a direct bus connection to the John Radcliffe Hospital for those visiting either of them.
The Headington Quarry area is notable for its connection with. C. S. Lewis, the famous author of the Narnia tales and many other books. Lewis lived in Headington for most of his life, from 1921 to 1963, and moved to three different houses in the area. He also worshipped at Holy Trinity Church, where he is buried in the churchyard. You can visit these places and follow his footsteps. Headington is a must-see destination for any fan of C. S. Lewis and his works.

Who we are
Monika and her teenaged son live here. Monika is the house mum. She is a passionate traveller and a loves meeting new people.
As a travel writer, Monika and her family have explored their own “backyard” of Oxford and surroundings more than most. They are generally available to answer questions, suggest itineraries and give hints and tips for your stay and visit.

The furry residents of Headington Haven
We have a tiny chihuahua-mix, very friendly dog, Alice and a Norwegian forest cat kitten, Gremlin.
They love company as much as we do, but if you don’t get on with them, they are happy to stay out of your way in our bedroom.
