A Home from Home, Shared Facilities

We’re excited to share our home with you. You are most welcome to use common areas of the bathroom, downstairs toilet, kitchen, living room and dining room. The spaces are set up as practical, family spaces, focussed on socialising, spending quality time together.

To help everyone get along we have created a set of house rules that we ask everyone to observe.

Shared bathroom

Our three guest bedrooms share a bathroom on the first floor. It is equipped with a bath, separate shower, toilet and handbasin.

The shower and bath have thermostatic valves for convenience and safety.

We value water conservation and the toilet has a low flush button.

We kindly ask that guests be considerate of others and limit the time spent in the bathroom and to please turn off faucets when not in use, reporting any leaks.

As part of staying together in harmony, we request everyone leaves the bathroom clean and tidy after: remove any hairs, dry the floor and clean the toilet after use (with the provided toilet brush for the bowl, spray and toilet paper for the seat).

We provide little bags for used sanitary towels and tampons (under the sink or just outside, opposite the bathroom) and ask these to be put into the bin. Never flush tampons, wetwipes (not even ones say they are flushable) or sanitary towels as they will cause a blockage in our system!

Downstairs cloakroom

There is an additional toilet off the kitchen to avoid queues upstairs.

Shared Kitchen

We have a well-equipped kitchen with an induction hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher and fridge available to use by our guests. Cooking together is fun. We love learning about other cultures and cuisines.

Shared Living and Dining room

Guests are very welcome to use our living room and dining room. We have many options for entertainment, including boardgames, cards, Jenga and several subscription services on the TV.

We prefer guests eat in the dining room instead of their rooms or in the living room.

Accessibility

Sadly, our home is not easily accessible for those with mobility issues. All the bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor and accessed via a narrow, Victorian staircase.
